Preparation Of Farm

Whenever crops are sown fields must be prepared under the concept of “one preparation for more crops”

  • First spread bio compost in sufficient quantity
  • Leveled the field with laser leveler
  • Plow the field
  • Make beds with 4 feet distended plows
  • If sugarcane or early summer crops are cultivated direction of beds must be from east to west and if spring or fall (Ravi or kharif) crops are cultivated then beds must be from north to south.
  • First irrigate the fields then sow the crops
  • Water always given in drains of bed
  • Crops always be on higher place of beds
  • Concept of forest flora must be adopted

Way Of Sowing

For the cultivation of these crops close alternating drains.

Close alternating drains then watered open drains. Sow the seeds in the center of bed. Seed distance is 3 feet per seed
(Menthe)
Preparing saplings
Prepare sapling in first week of February. Get 1 qnt. Of menthe roots cut them in machine to separate knots. Shatter them in approximate 2 Marla and make beds. Irrigate in darns.
(Sowing of menthe)
Open all drains and irrigate the field. On the slopes of each bed plant the saplings of menthe. Distance of saplings 9 inches recommended.
