Various combinations of crops have been planned and this intercropping has been derived after a long and extensive research at good grow farms East in 1999. Our target is to achieve more with lesser efforts. This is feasible with effective ploughing techniques. For instance, planting three to five crops after only once preparing the fields and ploughing after a year and a half.
More AboutAs per the definition of biodiversity in agriculture, it refers to "the richness and heterogeneity of animals, plants, and microorganisms that are utilised either directly or indirectly for food and agriculture, comprising crops, cattle, forestry, and fisheries
Agriculture is based on biodiversity. Since the beginning of agriculture some 10,000 years ago, it has allowed farming systems to grow. All domesticated plant and animal species, as well as the variety found within them, are products of biodiversity. Additionally, it is the backbone of ecosystem services necessary for sustaining agriculture and living standards.
The diversity of crops and livestock in existence today is due to human intervention over thousands of years.Agriculture and biodiversity are closely intertwined because, while agriculture depends on biodiversity, agriculture also has a role to play in the preservation and long-term sustainability of biodiversity. Indeed, biodiversity both supports and benefits sustainable agriculture. For the healthy production of food and other farm products as well as the advantages these bring to humanity, such as food supply, nutrition, and livelihoods, it is imperative that this biodiversity be preserved.
